In down-feed grinding top grinding wheel travels down from a pre-fixed starting position to a end position i.e. desired ground height of the spring. The down-word movement of the top grinding wheel is controlled by it’s speed & current on the grinding wheel motor. At end position springs are allowed to pass through the grinding wheels for some more time. This is known as Spark-out Time / Polishing time. The Down-Feed grinding cycle is servo controlled. It has single Touch Screen HMI for parameter setting & operation.
