Handling oily, stringy or nested chip balls in small, medium or large machine shops has been always a problem for Shop Managers. As solution we have developed Chip Shredder for cutting these chip balls into the desired small size making it convenient to process or handle.

Long and curly chips from machining centers are to be fed to Chip Shredder the cutter arrangement guides the chips to the center, where they are shredded into desired small size; in case of any foreign object or overloading DPMT’s original control system automatically detects such abnormality, stopping and reversing the shredder to clear the same (online protection for overload). Incase of repeated reversal operations the machines stops and gives a signal by blowing buzzer. This machine can be used on line or offline to process steel, alloys and nonferrous chips from different machine tool operations.

The machine is sturdy and is equipped with special steel cutter in block form bolted to the housing onto spindle, making it economical, durable and easy to re-sharpen or replace.

Using these unit chips can be shredded into desired size, reducing the volume as well. These machines are tailor made as per requirements of available space and desired size of chips.
